This policy explains how Muttahidah FZE collects and uses personal data when you visit www.muttahidah.com or contact us, and the rights you have. We apply the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021) and, for visitors in the European Union, the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).
1. Who is responsible
The controller of your personal data is Muttahidah FZE, a Free Zone Establishment licensed by the Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ), United Arab Emirates (“Muttahidah”, “we”, “us”). For any question about this policy, write to policy@muttahidah.com.
2. What data we collect
- Information you send us: your name, e-mail address, company, position and the content of your message, when you write to us.
- Business relationship data: contact details of representatives of our clients, suppliers and partners, and the information needed to manage contracts and comply with the law.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, device, pages visited and date and time of access, recorded in the server logs of our hosting provider for security purposes.
- Your cookie preferences, stored in your browser.
- Audience measurement data, only if you consent to analytics cookies.
We do not ask for sensitive data and we ask you not to send it to us.
3. Why we use it and on what legal basis
- To answer your requests and prepare offers: our legitimate interest, or steps taken at your request before a contract.
- To manage our business relationships: performance of a contract.
- To comply with legal obligations, including anti-money laundering, sanctions screening and export control: legal obligation.
- To keep the website secure and working: our legitimate interest.
- To measure audience and improve our communication: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell personal data. We share it only when necessary with: our hosting and e-mail service providers, acting on our instructions; partner companies of our network when this is needed to answer your request; professional advisers bound by confidentiality; and competent authorities when the law requires it.
5. International transfers
Because we operate in the United Arab Emirates, the European Union and other regions, your data may be processed outside your country. When the GDPR applies, we use appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses. Transfers from the UAE follow the conditions of the UAE Personal Data Protection Law.
6. How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for as long as needed to handle them and for a maximum of three years after our last exchange if no business relationship follows. Business and accounting records are kept for the periods required by law. Server logs are kept for a short period for security purposes.
7. Your rights
Depending on the law that applies to you, you have the right to access your data, have it corrected or erased, restrict or object to its use, receive it in a portable format, and withdraw your consent at any time. To exercise these rights, write to policy@muttahidah.com. We may ask you to confirm your identity. You may also lodge a complaint with the UAE Data Office or, in the European Union, with your national data protection authority, such as the CNPD in Luxembourg.
8. Security
We use technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), restricted access and confidentiality obligations for everyone who handles your data.
9. Children
Our website and services are intended for professionals and are not directed at persons under 18. If we learn that a minor has sent us personal data, we delete it.
